Are You Ready to Drive Change in Consumer Tech
We re partnering with a leading hypermarket retail business in the FMCG sector to find an experienced Category Manager IT PC & Mobiles to join their Supply Chain Management team. This role is a fantastic opportunity to drive strategy and innovation across key consumer technology categories.
What You ll Do:
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute detailed buying plans based on the overall category business strategy at both the subcategory and branch levels.
- Business & Promo Planning: Create and implement promotional plans that align with the company s broader strategy while optimizing space utilization to maximize return on investment.
- Inventory Management: Oversee weekly buying plans ensure product availability conduct range planning and manage stock replenishment to minimize outofstock situations.
- Sales & Profit Focus: Drive annual sales targets and margins through strategic pricing consumer activation programs and regular store audits to understand consumer behavior.
- Vendor Management: Identify and negotiate with vendors to ensure the best pricing minimum lead times and maximum fill rates.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate with various teams identify training needs and build a resultdriven team to successfully deliver the category mission.
Who You Are:
- A seasoned professional with strong category management experience particularly in the consumer tech space.
- A strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer preferences.
- An effective communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive leader who can drive results with a sense of urgency and accountability.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- A degree in Business Marketing Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Significant experience in category management within FMCG or retail ideally with a focus on IT PC and mobile products.
- Proven success in managing inventory executing promotional strategies and meeting sales and margin targets.
- Strong leadership abilities and a knack for building and coaching highperforming teams.
