We are looking for a Senior Manager Liquidity and Market Risk to join our Group Risk & Compliance function!

What is this role about

Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk the Senior Manager Liquidity and Market Risk is responsible for:

• Acting as the senior second line subject matter expert to develop and continuously evolve the risk management strategies and approach for Capital Liquidity and Market Risk. This includes the development of policies and frameworks in line with prudential requirements and Risk Appetite effective implementation and embedding across three line of accountability.
• Monitor the effective implementation of policies and frameworks and contribute subject matter expertise and second line risk review and challenge.
• Maintain and develop related risk reporting to ensure the effective management of related risk classes and to ensure first and second line risk reporting is operating effectively with appropriate controls and independence. Drive the development of operational excellence and efficiency opportunities with respect to related risk reporting.

Lead the implementation and ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of Market Liquidity and Capital Risk management across Cuscal by:

• providing information training advice and tools to the first line of defence to assist them to identify manage and monitor risks;
• providing independent oversight and challenge to the risk management activities and positions of the business lines;
• monitoring and following up on riskrelated remediation actions with relevant Accountable Persons;
• monitoring risk profile relative to risk appetite on an enterprisewide level;
• reporting and analytics to inform monitoring review and challenge.

What can you bring

Essential:  

• 7 years of experience in a similar role at an ADI.
• Indepth knowledge of APSand other relevant treasury risk standards.
• Strong knowledge of treasury risk analysis techniques (including capital liquidity and market risk)
• Understanding of treasury risk procedures and management systems
• Strong understanding of scenario/stress testing requirements and experience in the review of risk modelling validation.
• Sound knowledge of treasury and accounting practices
• Good understanding of pricing fair and relative value analysis
• Experience in dealing with regulators
• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (e.g. Finance Accounting Commerce)

Although not required any experience or knowledge in the following would be highly desirable:

• Post graduate qualifications or professional certification.
