The Marketplace Data & Reporting Analyst analyzes all relevant data for the Get Covered Illinois (GCI) statebased marketplace. This includes data on federal and state marketplace enrollment and tax credits marketplace enrollment and tax credit trends and projections and marketplace needs that arise from data trends and projections. The Analyst will compile and disseminate reports to GCI leadership Department of Insurance staff other state officials national insurance groups and associations and federal agencies. The Analyst will also make marketplace data trend and projection presentations when requested or required for reporting requirements. The Analyst will work extensively with GCI and Department staff and consultants to ensure data trends and projections are properly reported and represented and will work with GCI and Department staff on data trends and projection marketplace impacts. The Analyst will work to further the GCIs mission. We invite all qualified persons to apply.

Under direction of the Customer Assistance Center Deputy Director serves as the statewide Marketplace Data & Reporting Analyst.
Prepares marketplace reports for GCI leadership and state officials ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Collaborates with GCI and Department actuarial staff on data analysis and reporting.
Works with other GCI and Department staff on data and reporting impacts and decisionmaking.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four 4 years of college preferably with courses in business or public administration.
Requires one 1 year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Prefers three 3 years of experience analyzing public data.
Prefers three 3 years of experience compiling public data.
Prefers three 3 years of experience reporting and presenting public data.
Prefers a working knowledge of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
Prefers a working knowledge of the Illinois health insurance landscape.
Prefers a working knowledge of health insurance tax credits and tax credit eligibility.
Prefers a working knowledge of federal and state health insurance statutes and rules.
Prefers an understanding of actuarial and statistical analysis reporting and projections.
Prefers experience working with outside entities consultants and advocacy groups.
Prefers experience with Microsoft Office SharePoint and other Microsoft products.
Of the one 1 year of administrative experience noted above requires one 1 year of experience analyzing technology systems.
Of the one 1 year of administrative experience noted above requires one 1 year of experience with statistical software such as interactive dashboards and the ability to design and present complex data clearly and concisely.
Of the one 1 year of administrative experience noted above requires one 1 year of experience working with health and financial related data.
Requires the ability to pass a background check.
Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties with overnight stays as appropriate.
