Senior Project Planner Project Management REC

We invite you to bring your competence as a mid/senior level professional in engineering & planning who has the capability to work on projects involving multidisciplinary teams in building/ transportation / water markets.

Project Controls/Project Planner role is the key to be able to deliver strategic vision of a project. It includes the coordination of interfaces and information flow between external and internal stakeholders to deliver an integrated design solution. Project Controls/Project Planner shall coordinate with Project Manager of PBU and Technical Manager/Team leader/ Design Lead of respective discipline and be primarily involved in delivering the scheduled tasks and is expected to be a good team player within the team.

As our new Project Controls/Project Planner you will be part of a world class innovation driven Engineering Design Centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated centre of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a Centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Coordinating between various disciplines documentation folder structure ensuring compliance with specification through team lead of respective disciplines.
• To initiate & coordinate for interface management process that includes development of Organisation Chart Interface matrix RACI Matrix tracking progress of internal deliverables through weekly visual planning meetings using visual planning tools.
• Contributing to Value Engineering at various stages through localization of concepts and market research which leads to a good amount of cost savings.
• Periodically Reviewing Construction Documents & Design solutions against the clients scope to maintain focus on meeting the clients requirements and success factors in addition to ensuring the solution is integrated and coordinated.
• Project Management Reporting and controlling through tools like Earned Value Analysis.
• Development Updating & Monitoring of Project Schedules and Work Breakdown Structure considering contract deliverables and resourcing needs using tools like Primavera P6 Microsoft Project.
• Interact with Project Team and task managers to define the scope of work to develop and update schedules cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
• Analyze Critical Path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend workaround.
• Establishing Project Baselines at the start of the Project and track it on a timely basis as required.
• Preparation of Scurves Schedule variances Project Dashboard etc.
• Supporting Project Managers with all key information related to the health of project performance as per Baselines delay resources communication look ahead etc and other information in day to day working.
• Timely delivery of project submissions including resource management.
• Monitoring the budgets and additional scopes through change management.
• Implementation of QA/QC Procedures & Compliance to ISO requirements.
• Conducting Design reviews for identifying the issues assessing the progress risks & plan for mitigation.
• Keep stakeholders well informed regarding the project status at regular intervals.

• Must possess BTech/MTech in Civil/Structural/Transportation Engineering or Masters/PG in Construction Management/Project Management with 310 years of professional experience.
• Should have preferably worked in similar role and have a very good understanding of the processes. International Consultancy experience would be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Design Management & Project Planning.
• Must be highly competent in written and verbal English language.
• Must possess profound design experience in the infrastructure market.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating within teams to successful develop multiple projects concurrently.
• Proficient team player with experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders thereby fostering their involvement and engagement.
• Must possess excellent organisational and communication abilities to ensure understanding of project plans and solutions.
• Should be a competent user of IT Tools in particular Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint and scheduling and reporting tools like MS Project Primavera P6 PowerBI etc.
• Wider knowledge of other disciplines is highly desirable.
• Should be able to conduct project reviews for identifying issues & risks and thus plan for their mitigations.
• Should be able to coordinate with all Project members to gather project data and should efficiently convert it into Information & reports.
• Should be versed with Project reporting Dashboards Client instructions Control & review plan managing all communications as single point of contact for Project team.
• Should have supported Project manager/ Project team in implementing Project Management Systems and Project Control measures like Earned value Analysis and other Project control techniques.
