We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Survey Manager to lead our surveying team in Glenville WV. This hybrid position requires you to be onsite three days a week. The ideal candidate will oversee survey projects from inception to completion ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. A strong understanding of surveying techniques and proficiency in various software applications used in the field are essential. Skills

  • WV Professional Surveyor License (additional state licensures are a plus)
  • Expertise in Carlson Survey CAD and GIS software
  • Strong understanding of local state and federal surveying regulations
  • Experience managing field crews and coordinating with branch offices
  • Excellent mentoring skills for junior staff
  • Client relationship skills for building partnerships (nice to have)
  • Experience in Oil & Gas Industry (especially in road design well pad design and construction layout) (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of survey projects including planning and reporting
  • Oversee field crews and job prioritization for efficiency
  • Develop and maintain project schematics
  • Analyze geographical data using GIS software
  • Ensure compliance with surveying regulations
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate survey data into project designs
  • Train and mentor junior survey staff
  • Review and validate survey results for accuracy before submission to clients

Qualifications

  • Strong background in surveying and project management
  • Proven experience leading survey projects from start to finish
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Surveying Civil Engineering or a related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional Surveyor License (WV) required

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying including experience in managing teams
  • Familiarity with GIS and CAD software
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is a plus
