Job Description
Facility: North Memorial Health Robbinsdale Hospital
Address: 3300 Oakdale Ave N Robbinsdale MN 55422 United States
Contract: Permanent
Shift: Days & Evenings 8hour shifts
Hourly Range: $35.82/hour $46.19/hour (based on experience)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists the surgeon during procedures within scope including holding retractors cutting sutures connecting drains and applying dressings.
- Maintains a safe environment through surgical asepsis sterile technique and safety procedures.
- Ensures proper care of instruments and equipment before during and after surgery.
- Participates in Quality Improvement for exceptional surgical care.
- Recognizes and responds effectively to emergencies.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers for optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluates personal practice against professional standards and regulations.
- Complies with legal regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Adheres to Maple Grove Hospitals Code of Conduct.
- Protects privacy accessing information only as needed for job duties.
- Reports violations or concerns to leadership or Corporate Compliance Officer.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited program.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBST or NCCT or must obtain within 12 months of hire.
- Current BLS certification.
