Job Summary:
This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician working evening shifts (2 PM - 10:30 PM) for a six-week assignment. The technician will be responsible for the sterilization decontamination assembly and wrapping of surgical trays as well as case cart preparation and handling of high-level disinfection. Experience in various surgical specialties is required and the position involves a high daily caseload.

Responsibilities:
- Sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assembly and wrapping of surgical instrument trays.
- Case cart preparation and management.
- High-level disinfection (HLD) procedures.
- Maintaining inventory and supply levels.
- Adherence to infection control protocols.
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties (Ortho Urology Endo/Laparoscopic Vascular Thoracic Neuro Gyn Bariatrics Plastics Podiatry ENT Transplant Robotics Implants).
- Inpatient outpatient and trauma setting experience.
- Scrub experience.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Certification as a CBSPD or IAHCSMM.
- Experience with surgical case processing in various specialties (Ortho Urology Endo/Laparoscopic Vascular Thoracic Neuro Gyn Bariatrics Plastics Podiatry ENT Transplant Robotics Implants).
- Inpatient outpatient and trauma setting experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with ophthalmology cases.
- Experience utilizing SPM (Surgical Process Management) software.
- Experience using Epic electronic health record system.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend work is required.
- No floating between units.
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed case-by-case consideration possible.
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- COVID-19 vaccination is required (no exemptions accepted).
- Level II Trauma Center environment (includes OP IR ER IP).
Scheduling:
- Evening shift: 2 PM - 10:30 PM.
- Five days a week six-week assignment.
