Energy Talent Search is working with an organization in Downtown Denver to support the expansion of its accounting department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a dynamic team in the energy sector.
In this role you will play a key part in monthend close processes financial reporting and cash flow management collaborating with senior leadership and external partners to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Key Responsibilities:- Financial Close & Reporting: Handle monthend close tasks including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cash & Banking Oversight: Monitor cash activity process bank reconciliations and oversee credit card transactions.
- Accounts Payable Management: Act as the point of contact for outsourced AP functions ensuring smooth payment processing and accurate coding.
- Intercompany Transactions: Prepare cost allocations record intercompany billing transactions and track collections for relatedparty invoices.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain compliance with US GAAP assist with annual financial audits and support internal reporting accuracy.
- ERP & Systems Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of financial systems and act as a resource for systemrelated inquiries and reporting needs.
- CrossTeam Collaboration: Work closely with accounting and finance teams as well as other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
- 2 5 years of financial accounting or analysis experience preferably in the energy sector
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with ERP systems (Bolo experience is HIGHLY DESIRED).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Benefits
Compensation & Work Schedule:
- Pay range: $80000 $95000 per year based on experience.
Hybrid Schedule:
- Inoffice Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
- Work from home Monday and every working Friday
9/80 Schedule:
- Employees work every other Friday off for enhanced worklife balance.
