The Forensic Division within the Complex Care and Recovery Program is currently seeking applications fora fulltime contract 12month)Research Analyst.
Reporting to the Research Operations Manager and working closely with the Principle Investigator the successful candidate will support research in the Forensic Division including a retrospective study examining the incidence correlates and antecedents of all incustody deaths by suicide in provincial correctional centres of Ontario. Supporting other research projects related to forensic mental health may also be required. Duties include but are not limited to: chart reviews supporting data management and analysis supporting literature reviews contributing to the preparation of presentations and peerreviewed research papers. Other research administrative duties may be required. The candidate must be able to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.
The successful candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in psychology social sciences or a related discipline combined withone year of relevant experience. Experience in the areas of mental health and forensicswould be an asset. The ideal candidate will have experience in qualitative research methods and literature searches. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication and organization skills are required. Strong PC software skills including Microsoft Office (Excel Word and PowerPoint) online academic search engines (e.g. PsycINFO PubMed Medline) and the ability to learn new programs as necessary is required.Familiarity with qualitative software such as NVivoor survey software such as REDCap Qualtrics or Survey Monkeyis an asset. Experience in summarizing data for presentations is an asset.The successful candidate will have excellent capacity for selfdirected learning/workingand require minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who can multitask and produce highquality accurate work while meeting deadlines and requirements.Candidates also require the ability to work effectively in a widerange of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
