Description
Updates blueprints including as built drawings and one liner maintenance drawings using Auto CAD. Indexes electronic files organizes drawing layers in CAD and maintains all archive prints. Works collaboratively with colleagues throughout Mayo. Develops and documents solutions related to institutions ongoing remodeling needs. Produces construction documents for projects including architectural interiors mechanical and electrical drawings utilizing Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CAD). Documents produced relate to in house projects regional projects and facilities maintenance work. Updates and maintains institutional CAD database. Participates in developing and applying facilities standards. Serves as a resource or advisor to the institution on facilities and building code issues as requested.
Qualifications
Formal training and proficiency in Computer aided Design (CAD) computer operating systems and other computer software applications such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit. Relevant experience working in the architectural engineering and/or construction fields. Associates Degree in CAD or technical program utilizing CAD BIM or Revit. Candidate should have good understanding of building mechanics a knowledge of building materials equipment and construction techniques basic understanding of life safety issues building codes and standards; ability to adapt codes to specific design conditions and solutions. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong communication presentation skills. Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Must have good oral and written communications skills. Must have the ability to establish and meet deadlines. Computer operations knowledge and various software. Ability to use all office equipment. Able to index and organize blueprints. The ability to read and interpret construction documents construction details and specifications for commercial and institutional type buildings.Familiarity with NFPA IBC and FGI is desirable.
