Are you looking to work for one of Scotlands largest privately owned civil engineering and building contractors Do you want to take on a pivotal role in delivering complex civil engineering solutions often in challenging and logistically demanding environments If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
RJ McLeod is seeking a Civils Project Manager to join our team based in Northern Scotland overseeing the construction of civil engineering projects across renewable energy highways and marine sectors.
From project planning and delivery you will be responsible for every stage ensuring completion on time within budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.
So what are we looking for
You will be skilled in the delivery of civil engineering projects preferably in renewable energy infrastructure highways or marine construction exceeding 10m in value. This will mean you also have a commercial mindset with a good understanding of commercial contracts (NEC3/4.
To succeed youll need excellent communication and analytical skills alongside:
- HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or a related field.
- Experience in civil engineering projects particularly in renewable energy highways or marine construction.
- Demonstrable Project Management skills including planning scheduling budgeting forecasting and resource management
- Be able to implement quality management processes and procedures to ensure that the project is delivered to the required quality standard and specification
- The ability to conduct regular inspections audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with company procedures and project requirements
Youll also need to be able to work at pace. Our business moves quickly and we need to keep up with the demand. Flexibility agility and resilience are key attributes for this role.
Additional skills and experience that would enhance your application:
- Familiarity with heavy civil construction techniques
- Knowledge of MCHW or National Grid specifications
- An understanding of the Scottish civil engineering sector
- Previous experience working in remote or island locations
Please note: Due to the nature of the location a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to remote sites is required.
