Job Description
Are you a passionate outdoor sports enthusiast with a sports instructor certification and quality testing experience Join Salomons Quality Testing team and play a key role in evaluating and improving our footwear apparel bags and accessories. This role offers the perfect balance between lab testing and field testing allowing you to combine technical analysis with realworld performance assessments. Be at the heart of product development ensuring performance safety and innovation through rigorous testing and continuous improvement.

Your main missions :
- Determine and size evaluation plans based on the required performance specifications measurement tools and inspection resources from anticipation to production launch
- Propose and draft product test specifications before validation by the Product Quality Manager
- Design new tests
- Draw up specifications for test resources and methods and qualify them
- Define test safety resources/procedures
- Carry out and/or commission the assessments associated with the testing plan
- Manage measurement resources (GMMC)
- Manage the supply of consumables and materials required to carry out tests
- Contribute to development project groups in the role of expert testing referent
- Organise trials in France and abroad guaranteeing trial safety in the context of international regulations (development or commercial launch)
Continuous improvement:
- Provide support in analysing market and/or production problems as part of the continuous improvement process
- Develop measurement/testing tools to ensure correlation with customer usage developments in the sport and new concepts
- Contribute to the development of test methods based on biomechanics and simulation studies
Qualifications :
Your profile :
Experiences :
- 23 years professional experience in a similar job and/or similar technical field desirable
- Outdoor and mountain sports enthusiast (trail running running and hiking). Actively connected to sports clubs associations and communities.
Education :
- 2 years of higher education in physics mechanics or materials engineering preferred
- Certification in Sports Coaching
- Workplace First Aid Certification
Technical skills :
- Proficiency in statistical tools and database analysis
- Knowledge of products and materials manufacturing processes metrology experimental design measurement techniques
- Knowledge of footwear design and manufacturing would be a plus.
IT : Command of pack Office
Languages : English and French mandatory
Personal qualities: Collaborative openminded
Additional Information :
Contract: Permanent fulltime.
Location: Based in Annecy France.
Frequent travel expected.
