Summary

As a Parts Specialist at Volvo Cars Westport you will be an integral part of our automotive service team. This role is crucial for ensuring that our technicians have the necessary parts to provide exceptional service to our customers. Your contributions will directly support our mission of delivering quality automotive solutions while fostering a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels of automotive parts to ensure availability for service operations.
  • Procure parts from suppliers while maintaining costeffectiveness and quality standards.
  • Assist technicians in identifying required parts for repairs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of parts orders receipts and inventory counts.
  • Collaborate with the service department to forecast demand for parts based on service schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to parts availability and pricing.
  • Stay updated on new automotive technologies and OEM parts offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in automotive parts or a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair processes and components.
  • Excellent supplier management skills with an understanding of procurement practices.
  • Ability to effectively plan for demand based on service needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management.
  • Familiarity with OEM parts and supply chain management is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with technicians and customers alike.
