Job Description
A vibrant Girls School in Southall is seeking a dynamic Media Studies Teacher to inspire our students to explore the world of media. We are looking for an educator who can foster critical analysis and media literacy.
About Our Learning Community:
Our school is recognized for its arts and media provision and provides excellent media facilities.
About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Media Studies lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5 including GCSE and ALevel.
- Develop and implement lesson plans covering media theories production techniques and media analysis.
- Facilitate studentled media projects and presentations.
- Assess student progress through projects presentations and written evaluations.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the media studies curriculum.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as media clubs and film screenings.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Media Studies or a related field.
- Extensive experience teaching media studies at the secondary level preferably in a girls school setting.
- Proficiency in media production techniques and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
