Job Description

Job Summary:

The Manager of Firm Talent & Recruiting administers and coordinates the Firms human resources and recruiting efforts (attorney and nonattorney roles). This role is responsible for recruitment and employee relations across all offices enabling the Firm to pursue its strategic objectives and business goals. As the face of the firm to attorneys staff candidates and recruiters the ideal candidate will be a proactive detailoriented business partner to the leadership of the firm.

Primary Responsibilities:

HR Management:

  • Ensure the firm maintains a compliant and integrated human resources operation that supports the attraction development and retention of the highest caliber legal and administrative talent.
  • Refine or implement new strategies policies and systems for legal and professional staff covering recruiting retention development and employee relations.
  • Oversee firm wellness initiatives training and CLE compliance.

Recruiting:

  • Lead all aspects of lateral associate and staff recruitment ensuring appropriate communication and coordination with candidates firm attorneys administrative management and thirdparty recruiters.
  • Oversee the activities of the recruiting coordinator to ensure a seamless experience for candidates and internal teams.

Orientation:

  • Lead all administrative aspects of onboarding for attorneys legal assistants and staff.

Firm Culture:

  • Proactively seek ways to enhance the Firms collegial collaborative and teamoriented culture.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources in a law firm or professional services firm.
  • Excellent writing presentation and leadership skills with prior supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of working effectively in a fastpaced multiauthority environment.
  • Polished professional presence that engenders trust and confidence.
  • Exceptional diplomatic skills and ability to work in a true partnership environment.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying needs and driving positive change.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in human resources matters.
  • Ability to establish credibility quickly and build oneonone relationships with senior leadership.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Capability to embrace organizational goals and promote those ideas.
  • Proficiency in current versions of viDesktop (viRecruit and viCLE) Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook and other industry technology.
