Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager Software Engineering to join the Procore Maps & Location team. In this role you will lead the team responsible for design development and support of locationaware experiences within Procore products. Your work will positively impact the entire spectrum of construction operations from tracking progress by location communicating logistics to managing resources within a mapbased experience. You will improve the life of construction workers and contractors by enabling complex workflows and processes into simple and intuitive locationbased experiences on mobile and web interfaces.
The position is for the Bangalore location. Were looking for someone to join our team immediately.
What youll do:
- Own overall engineering strategy and delivery of Procores Spatial location module
- Collaborate with senior Product Managers Architects UX and business leaders to own and execute a spatially aware experiences across Procore Products
- Lead engineers and create a robust and functional group within the Engineering organization that delivers highly scalable performant available and secure solutions
- Collaborate with product leadership to make pragmatic tradeoffs on staffing and prioritizing initiatives
- Align with senior engineering and technical leaders on orgwide initiatives that are both technical and cultural in nature
What were looking for:
- 12 years of experience in software engineering including 4 years of experience managing software engineering teams
- 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer with an emphasis on webbased distributed services
- Experience designing and leading mediumscale Engineering organizations that deliver critical projects and services including strong uptime requirements
- You have expertise in fullstack software development modern objectoriented languages (e.g. Java Ruby Typescript) and frameworks (e.g. React Node.js next.js Rails).
- Ability to represent and promote complex business or technical architectural concepts both internally and externally
- Demonstrated history of building strong crossfunctional relationships that foster deep engagements. Organizational savvy to navigate and manage ambiguous and complex scenarios
- Passionate about solving the problems for the construction industry. Previous experience in the construction domain or geospatial area will be a huge plus.
