Are you an experienced transportation engineer looking for new and exciting challenges
We offer you the opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team where youll have the chance to lead major projects from planning to completion. As a project leader youll have the opportunity to work on ambitious initiatives both in the greater metropolitan area and across Quebec and Canada. These projects include the development of structuring mass transit modes for various sectors of Montreal the transformation of the Bonaventure Expressway into a major urban boulevard major projects for the MontrealTrudeau International Airport not to mention the redevelopment of several road and highway sections and interchanges. You could also contribute to other largescale projects such as the LacMgantic rail bypass or a number of major projects in the nations capital or the Greater Toronto Area.
Primary responsibilities
- Act as technical leader transfer knowledge determine project needs coordinate studies and plans and specifications write technical reports and determine construction costs.
- Propose solutions to problems encountered and take all necessary measures to ensure that work progresses according to schedule.
- Work closely with the other disciplines involved (civil engineering transportation architecture environment signage lighting etc. to ensure an integrated and efficient approach.
- Prepare meetings with the customer (alone or accompanied depending on the level of complexity of the project and the type of customer) follow up and provide feedback.
- Coordinate the of work by deciding how tooling materials and related resources are to be used and ensure resource occupancy in collaboration with managers.
- Manage deliverables budgets schedules human resources approvals of amendments for projects under his/her responsibility and the financial followup of his/her TEC and CAR files.
- Participate in ODS drafting and budget preparation.
- Manage the development and followup of the group for the integration of new operational systems or others such as SSE ISO office 365.
Qualifications :
- More than 810 years of relevant experience and solid knowledge of civil engineering (road engineering and road infrastructure)
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or equivalent and member of the Ordre des ingnieurs du Qubec (OIQ)
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English. Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position in order to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including our customers partners and crosssectoral teams nationwide
- Excellent command of design software (e.g. Civil 3D InRoads AutoCAD) so as to be able to support and interact with the design team.
