Job Purpose
Primary responsible for:
Managing the organizations systems development activities application implementation application support change management activities and directing the organizations software development team
Provide the business perspective of IT to the organization
Provide initiative to improve the departments existing processes and protocols
Serve as the resource person and coordinator for the IT department
Responsibilities
Ensure development project activities are delivered on time and within agreed specifications or scope.
Drive process ownership in change management activities
Maintain and update the IT Departments Project Portfolio
Manage the overall performance of the development team
Prepares regular MIS reports as required by the executive committee
Performs other jobrelated projects as assigned from time to time
Tasks
Manages and provides oversight on all application programming activities throughout the entire software development lifecycle (e.g. Requirements Design Development Testing Acceptance Go Live Documentation)
Conducts daily project status monitoring
Prepares weekly and monthly project status reporting requirements.
Daily monitoring review and assignment of service desk tickets for the software development team
Review and approval of publication of project documentation for all software development project undertaking:
Requirements Document
Design Document
Technical Document
UAT Document
Go Live Document
User Manual Document
Prepares and submits monthly performance evaluation reports (PER) for all development team member
Prepares and submits to the head of IT the yearly IT Plan and manpower requirements
Validates and submits to HR the timekeeping logs based on the biometric system for all development team members.
Review approve and coordinate leave requests for the software development team
Minimum Required Education/Professional Licensure/Certifications
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or any related course
Post Graduate in Business Management preferred but not required
PMP or Prince 2 certification is preferred but not required
MCSE certification is preferred but not required
ITIL or Six Sigma certification preferred but not required
Minimum Required Experience
At least 4 years experience in IT Project Management (completed a minimum of 5 full software development lifecycles) in the banking and finance industry
Can meet multiple projects and reporting deadlines
At least 4 years of experience in IT Service Management in the banking and finance industry
At least 3 years experience in IT Operation Management in the banking and finance industry
Can present or communicate technical items in a business environment
