Job Description

The Job Mission

As a Piping Construction Engineer you will be a key player in ensuring the successful of piping construction activities at Hinkley Point C. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining compliance driving progress and leading teams to deliver highquality installations.

Your future teams missions will include:
Leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices for piping construction.
Defining scope boundaries and managing the development of Construction Workpacks (CWPs).
Ensuring the delivery of CWPs meets project specifications and gains firsttime acceptance.
Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
Ensuring strict compliance with nuclear safety HSE and site licence requirements.
Coordinating safe access routing and surveying activities to support ongoing construction work.
Providing leadership in resource planning and progress reporting to the Building Manager.

 


Qualifications :

Essential Skills:

Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Professional accreditation in project management construction or engineering.
CCNSG Safety Passport and IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a construction environment coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
Proven experience in heavy industrial projects such as nuclear oil & gas or steel manufacturing.
Strong understanding of engineering scopes for major construction projects.

Desired Skills:

Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated sectors.
Familiarity with Joint Ventures and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Knowledge and experience of CDM regulations and their application in construction projects.
