Overview and Responsibilities
Housekeeping Assistant
Location: Tokers Green Reading
Hourly Rate: 12.37 12.59 per hour
Actual annual salary: 8713.41 8868.37 per year (prorata)
Contract: Part time permanent position term time only 39 weeks)
Hours: 15 hours per week 6am 9am or 4pm 7pm
Start date: As soon as possible
Opportunity
We are currently looking to recruit a Housekeeping Assistant to join our expanding team working alongside our Housekeeper to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all furniture fixtures and fittings in all internal areas of the school.
Key Duties
- To provide high standards of housekeeping. Ensuring that all areas are clean hygienic and tidy at all times.
- To report any maintenance issues to furniture fixtures and fittings
- To comply with all safeguarding H&S legislation regulations and policy
- To ensure all chemicals are securely locked away.

Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Customeroriented and friendly
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Experience in supporting in the care or education industry
Aurora Rowan School
Part of the Aurora Group Aurora Rowan School in Tokers Green Reading Berkshire opened in November 2024 supporting young people aged 6 16 with a diagnosis of Autism spectrum disorder moderate to Severe Learning needs and associated difficulties who require an individualised specialist approach.
