Job Description
Sole Hire LLC has been exclusively contracted to support this search for a Senior Accountant on behalf of a growing manufacturing company located in Central New Jersey. We are seeking a highly motivated and detailoriented professional ready to contribute to a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the companys continued success.
General Purpose
As the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting supporting both monthend and yearend closing processes and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role offers significant exposure to various operational groups and provides a unique opportunity to deliver insights and analysis that directly influence business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and variance analyses while providing actionable insights on financial performance to management.
- Conduct and complete monthly bank reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency.
- Post journal entries accruals and adjustments to the general ledger ensuring reliable and timely financial records.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes ensuring accurate records and timely payments/collections.
- Manage cost accounting data including inventory valuation production costs and overhead analysis while collaborating with the manufacturing team to identify costsaving opportunities and process improvements.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset and depreciation schedules to support accurate balance sheet reporting.
- Participate in additional projects and tasks to support the company s financial operations and strategic objectives.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with computerized accounting systems.
Key Competencies
- Deep understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and monthend close procedures.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting inventory management and financial analysis specific to a manufacturing setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across departments and operational groups.
