Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinician I to join our team in caring for our communitys most vulnerable children. The Clinician I position supports all our services with primary responsibilities focused on providing services to children youth and families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Deliver psychotherapeutic clinical care and case management as outlined in DBHDS and DMAS regulations for each service area assignment.
- Develop and implement Individual Family and Group treatment interventions as applicable.
- Provide direct therapeutic care for a caseload and other clinical duties as assigned such as group therapy case collaboration and team coverage. Adjust the volume of clinical duties to maintain appropriate care resource stewardship and mission fulfillment.
- Maintain compliance with all funding source regulations rules and documentation requirements to ensure timely approval of services.
- Ensure compliance with all local State and Federal regulatory requirements including timely and accurate documentation of services provided for licensure HIPAA Medicaid Department of Social Services LHRC and other professional standards and funding sources.
- Work under the direction of the relevant Program Supervisor and in close collaboration with the Mental Health Leadership Team.
- Report clinical and other concerns as outlined in policy to your clinical supervisor and/or management team.
- Coordinate and maintain referrals and conduct intake assessments and diagnoses as needed.
- Participate in outreach events for relationshipbuilding with community partners traumainformed consultation and marketing and education about services.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure client care is occurring as specified in policy and procedure.
- Maintain certifications in behavior management training and CPR/FA and be capable of performing them. Maintain all applicable credentialing through continuing education and other requirements outlined in code.
- Represent ChildSavers positively and professionally both internally and externally as part of the clinical team. Participate in meetings and work with community partners including Richmond Police Department Richmond Public Schools VCU Health System local Department of Social Services and/or local FAPT teams.
- Adhere to all ChildSavers policies and procedures and complete other tasks as assigned including administrative or macro projects necessary for the programs and staffs success.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills and Abilities): - Completion of a masters degree in Social Work Sociology Psychology or a licensuretrack related human services field with experience working with children from a TraumaInformed Care Perspective. ChildSavers mental health service areas include Outpatient Therapy Crisis Intervention and Trauma Response. Specialized modalities include Art Therapy Sand Tray Therapy AnimalAssisted Play Therapy Play Therapy (e.g. CCPT) Attachment Work and CBT.
- Must be licensed by the Board of Health Professions to practice in VA.
- Must hold a valid current Commonwealth of VA Drivers License and be insurable to drive a company vehicle.
- Other requirements as assigned by DMAS and/or licensure standards.
