Overview of the role:
The trust is looking to appoint an inspirational and highly effective Business and AdminApprentice who is committed to supporting St Michaels to educational excellence and furtherdeveloping the distinctive Christian character of educational provision and the schoolcommunity.
Key Responsibilities:
General Duties
- Provide reception and administrative support ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle visitor management telephone enquiries and incoming/outgoing post.
- Maintain accurate records including pupil and staff data attendance and admissions.
- Assist with document preparation filing and distributing materials within the school.
- Manage office supplies and alert colleagues when reordering is needed.
Financial & RecordKeeping:
- Undertake routine financial administration including cash handling and invoice processing.
- Maintain financial records for school meals and other transactions.
- Support statutory returns and data management tasks.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with school visits and pupil welfare liaising with parents when needed.
- Provide clerking support for Governing Body meetings.
- Stand in for the Administrator when required.

Apprenticeship Overview
This course is delivered through Articulate Rise this flexible School Administration training programme features 11 expertly designed modules covering vital topics such as project management planning/organisation and presentation skills.
The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing implementing maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.
