Under the general direction of the Project Lead/Principal Investigator or designee the Research & Evaluation Associate manages the daytoday operations of short term and multiyear research and/or evaluation projects. The Research & Evaluation Associate is responsible for the implementation of research/evaluation projects from inception to completion and manages and coordinates these activities.
Develop and manage project work plans and timelines; manage the daytoday implementation of projects.
Manage communication with clients and project staff including progress reporting.
Design surveys and/or interview guides including developing and testing survey instruments or interview guides
Develop research/evaluation/sampling plans sample specifications analysis plans and data specifications for the cross tabulation of research/evaluation results.
Conduct qualitative research such as indepth interviews case studies and moderating focus groups.
Monitor project performance including monitoring interview/survey fielding and performing quality control tasks related to data analysis and reporting.
Analyze data and develop reports in PowerPoint Word and Excel including creating visual displays of data through charts and tables.
Assist in developing proposals and project budgets.
Participate in the hiring and evaluation of project staff.
Perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Health Care Administration Health Policy Public Health/Education Epidemiology Health Economics Social Policy or related health care field or equivalent.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
5 7 years of experience in developing and implementing program/policy research and/or evaluation including experience in project management grant submission supervision of staff and fiscal responsibility or equivalent.
Working knowledge of management supervision and coordination of complex federally or state funded multisite research and/or evaluation projects in an academic or a research setting.
Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in groups and interact with all levels of clients faculty and staff.
Demonstrated ability to work appropriately with confidential information.
Demonstrated ability to use computerbased tools including electronic mail word processing spreadsheet database products and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to travel to offsite locations.
