Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team at Meritus Health. As a Pediatric NP you will play a crucial role in providing highquality healthcare services to pediatric patients in inpatient setting. You will work collaboratively with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver patientcentered care and promote positive health outcomes for children and their families.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive health assessments of pediatric patients including physical examinations medical history review and diagnostic tests interpretation.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Prescribe medications and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines.
Provide patient and family education on preventive healthcare chronic disease management and wellness promotion.
Perform procedures such as wound care injections and minor surgical interventions as needed.
Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services.
Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Maintain current knowledge of pediatric healthcare practices trends and advancements through continuing education and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatrics.
Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
Clinical experience in pediatric healthcare settings preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families.
