We currently have an opening for a Systems Administrator II


The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act.



The primary purpose of the Systems Administrator II is to serve as a ServiceNow Platform administrator implementing and maintaining a secure and efficient platform configuration for NCDOT.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for daytoday operations of support and maintenance user & access management incident & problem management service catalog management automation & orchestration reporting & analytics integration & API management upgrade & patch management security & maintenance and performance optimization
  • Responsible for administering cloud SaaSbuilt solutions that support the business functions of NCDOT
  • Daily Tier 3 enduser support will also be an essential function of this position


The ServiceNow Technology Workflows Cloud SaaSBuilt Customer Solutions and Tier 3 Support section within Business Services provides operational support for the ServiceNow Platform in addition to implementing and maintaining Technology Workflows applications (ITSM ITOM ITAM SPM). This section is also responsible for implementing and supporting cloud SaaSbuilt applications as well as provide Tier 3 enduser support for all employees of NCDOT.


The Business Services unit leads and directs all ServiceNow Change Management and enduser cloud SaaS applications for NCDOT. This unit also is responsible for providing Service Delivery to its customers through multiple channels.


Note: Selected candidate must reside in North Carolina at time of hire.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of progressive experience in systems software programming

OR

Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or a closely related field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in systems software programming; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

REMOTE WORK:
