We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in largescale water infrastructure projects preferably funded by the World Bank. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise regulatory compliance knowledge and experience in project progress reporting and budget management. Familiarity with World Bank project guidelines is paramount. The role requires frequent travel across Nigeria and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & :
Oversee the design construction and of water infrastructure projects ensuring alignment with international standards.
Ensure compliance with environmental impact assessments and sustainability requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers mechanical engineers and contractors.
Supervise and coordinate onsite civil works to ensure safety quality and timely project delivery.
Regulatory & Compliance Management:
Ensure adherence to Nigeria s national water regulatory frameworks and international engineering standards.
Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
Maintain compliance with World Bank procurement guidelines and other donor requirements.
Budget & Cost Control:
Monitor and control project budgets ensuring costeffective resource allocation.
Provide detailed cost estimates progress reports and financial documentation for audit purposes.
Work closely with procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency in material sourcing.
Disaster Risk & Resilience Considerations:
Design water infrastructure with resilience against flooding drought and other environmental risks.
Implement best practices for climate adaptation and disaster risk management in civil engineering designs.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
Manage and oversee a team of technicians site engineers and contractors.
Conduct site inspections ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
Liaise with auditors project managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project .
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in largescale water infrastructure projects.
Prior experience working on World Bankfunded projects is highly preferred.
Technical & Industry Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of water supply systems treatment plants pipelines and reservoirs.
GIS IoT and Smart Water Management experience is an added advantage.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering design software.
Professional Certifications & Compliance:
COREN registration is required. Membership in other relevant professional bodies is an advantage.
Strong understanding of Nigeria s water regulatory frameworks.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to travel across Nigeria as required.
