NEPEAN Longwall(adivision of NEPEAN) partners with its customers to design engineer integrate and support longwall equipment and systems. Located in Queensland & New South Wales NEPEAN Longwall offers the full suite of aftersales services enabling it to support products throughout its life cycle. The experienced committed and motivated team at NEPEAN Longwall has demonstrated their capability to deliver longwall equipment and system solutions over many years. NEPEAN Longwalls corporate headquarters is located in Mackay Queensland. This purposebuilt facility provides comprehensive aftersales service and support to the regions customers.
Nepean Longwall have an excellent opportunity for Experienced Mechanical Fitters with Underground (Longwall desired) experience to assist with the inspection repair overhaul and commissioning of current project overhauls. There are opportunites for contractors chasing some short term work.This role is workshop based at our Paget location.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Assembly and disassembly of all capital and used underground mining material handling equipment gearboxes drive line equipment winching equipment hydraulic power packs and hydraulic driven equipment and all work functions related therein
- Maintenance of onsite fixed and mobile plant including the completion of the appropriate paperwork for the maintenance schedule reports for the equipment that has been repaired/inspected
- Other duties as required
The RightPerson
- Underground/Longwall experience minimum of 3 years
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively
- Customer Service skills
- Adaptability and Flexibility
- Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
- Full working wrights in Australia
