Job Description
Under the responsibility of the supervisor the mechanic helper performs various tasks to support the maintenance teams. This position exposes the candidate to various types of maintenance on fixed or mobile equipment. An opportunity for the candidate to start a career as a mechanic assistant.
What youre responsible for:
- Support the maintenance team in carrying out the work;
- Prepare and clean surfaces in order to inspect and lubricate mechanical parts;
- Lubricate equipment under the supervision of a mechanic;
- Ensure proper use and operation of company equipment;
- Clean conveyors on the production line;
- Ensure the proper functioning of machines on the production line;
- Inform your immediate superior of any action required any problem detected or exceeding planned times;
- Work safely and in compliance with the companys OHS policies and procedures;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Qualifications :

- Excellent physical fitness and good skills for manual work;
- Be autonomous methodical and proactive;
- Be diligent and conscientious;
- Ability to work alone and in a team
Additional Information :
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday 1 p.m. 11:30 p.m;
- Long weekends off of 3 days; (Friday to Sunday)
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours;
- May be required to work outdoors and be exposed to cold temperatures (indoors and outdoors);
- Work in a dusty factory environment (sorting center);
