Job Description
The external reporting Senior Technical Accountant within Robert Bosch LLCs Global Business Services organization plays a critical role in providing accurate timely and relevant financial information accounting guidance and support to key stakeholders of the company. Under general supervision the position will be responsible for but not limited to:
- External reportingrelated activities for various entities throughout North America.
- Interim and yearend financial statement preparation and consolidation current forecast consolidation and government reporting.
- External audit coordination and support.
- Technical accounting research and evaluation.
- Supporting with specific account reconciliations journal entry preparation and special projects as needed.
- Research interpret and apply accounting principles (IFRS) to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Assess and document the accounting treatment for complex transactions including revenue recognition lease accounting consolidations and acquisitions.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and business needs.
The Senior Accountant must have the ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a talented team focused on working efficiently to promote work/life balance. The Senior Accountant must be adaptable to change and have the ability to take initiative work independently and problem solve with support from the team.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business
- 5 years of accounting experience in a large complex corporate or public accounting environment
- 3 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a corporate accounting role with technical accounting responsibilities
- CPA Certification and public accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Financial reporting and general ledger
- Proficient knowledge of computer skills including MS Office applications including Excel (pivot tables formulas vlookups etc.
- High level of written and oral communication skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- SAP experience
