The Assistant Leading Hand is responsible for assisting their shift Leading Hand to oversee all activities and persons within the production hall. Directly reporting to their shift Leading Hand working closely with and accountable to the site Quality Officer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
An employee in this position is responsible for:
Your key responsibilities will be to:
1. Ensure the production staff conduct their duties in a safe and correct manner.
2.Ensure all production equipment is operating correctly and equipment guarding is in place.
3.Ensure machines are operating at the correct cycle times.
4.Responsible for machine start ups stoppages and process adjustments.
5.Accountable for product quality ensuring product meets company specifications.
6.Action the rectification of reported non conformances within their skillset.
7.Report non conformances outside their skillset to their shift Leading Hand.
8.Accountable for the isolation and the reporting of nonconforming product when identified.
9.Ensure relevant team members inspect all stock for conformance prior to going into the warehouse.
10.Recording of equipment events into the site operations feedback systems; E.g. downtime the adjustments made actions taken etc.
11.Report equipment issues to the maintenance team and enter action requests into the site CMMS.12.Arrange afterhours electrical mechanical and technical support in the event of a breakdown.
13.Monitor and record waste and s during the shift period and report false positive findings to the maintenance team if unable to rectify.
14.Complete daily shift changeovers referencing the information of the operations feedback system.15.Maintain daily roster and arrange overtime shift coverage as and when required.
16.Print distribute and maintain production records (paperbased).
