Job Description

Our clientis a highgrowth directtoconsumer (DTC) ecommerce brand with multiple hero products that they are scaling aggressively. The business thrives on paid media driving customer acquisition and revenue through platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Google YouTube Applovin Pinterest Taboola and Reddit. Theyre looking for a Head of Performance to take their growth to the next level.

As Head of Performance you will lead entire paid acquisition and performance marketing strategy ensuring profitable scaling and sustainable customer acquisition. You will manage highspend campaigns optimize funnels and drive innovation in performance marketing while leading a small focused team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Paid Media Strategy &

  • Develop and lead a multiplatform paid media strategy (Meta Applovin Google YouTube and others).
  • Manage daily budgets of $50K$100K on Meta while maintaining strong ROAS 1.8 CPA and CAC.
  • Implement advanced bidding strategies audience segmentation and creative testing frameworks.

2. Funnel & CRO Optimization

  • Collaborate with the CRO lead to optimize the full funnel ads landing pages checkout upsells.
  • Identify conversion dropoff points and rapidly test new landing pages checkout flows and upsell sequences.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director and video editors to continuously refine ad creatives and landing pages.

3. Leadership & CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a performance team (CRO funnel optimization paid media buyers).
  • Align with the Fractional VP of Growth and senior leadership on strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Retention/Email team to improve LTV and new customer onboarding.

4. Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Implement advanced tracking and attribution models (pixels event triggers 3rdparty solutions).
  • Deliver weekly/monthly reports on key KPIs ROAS CPA CAC new customer acquisition funnel conversion rates.
  • Use datadriven insights to iterate scale winning strategies and pivot when necessary.

5. Strategic Growth & Process Improvement

  • Identify new paid channels to expand into (Reddit Pinterest YouTube Taboola etc..
  • Recommend and implement structural improvements within the marketing team.
  • Quickly troubleshoot performance declines and implement corrective strategies.

MustHave Experience & Skills:

89 Figure DTC Brand Experience: Proven success in highvolume paid acquisition for major U.S. DTC brands.

ExpertLevel Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Advertising Skills: Advanced knowledge of Metas Ads Manager scaling and optimization techniques.

HighSpend Campaign Management: Comfortable handling $50K$100K/day ad spend profitably.

DataDriven & Analytical Mindset: Strong grasp of tracking attribution models and performance metrics.

CRO & Funnel Optimization: Experience in landing page optimization checkout flows and upsell testing.

Team Leadership & CrossFunctional Collaboration: Experience managing performance teams and working with creative & retention teams.

Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to pivot quickly in response to market changes and platform updates.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

ROAS & CPA: Scale daily ad spend while maintaining strong ROAS and efficient CPA. New Customer Growth: Increase profitable new customer acquisition volume.

Funnel Conversion Rates: Improve key funnel metrics through datadriven optimization.

Leadership & Team Growth: Establish performance frameworks and lead a highimpact team.

CrossFunctional Collaboration: Foster seamless communication between teams to drive fullfunnel efficiency.
