Join Axpos dynamic trading team in Singapore and drive the expansion of our APAC power trading activities. You will develop and execute proprietary trading strategies across power derivatives in Australia New Zealand and Japan while working closely with analytical teams to enhance decisionmaking.
What you will do:
- Develop and manage APAC power derivative proprietary trading books
- Create and execute trading strategies across commodities and locations
- Work with analytical teams in Singapore and Switzerland to enhance models
- Collaborate with Business Support functions to manage exposure and ensure compliance
- Communicate risk/reward assessments clearly to management and adhere to risk policies
- Expand Axpos commercial networks in relevant APAC markets
What you bring & who you are:
- University degree in mathematics engineering computer science economics or chemistry
- 5 years of experience in proprietary power/energy futures trading
- Deep knowledge of power and gas markets energy fundamentals and their interactions
- Strong coding database and numerical skills with high attention to detail
- Fluency in English; Japanese language skills are an advantage
