Job Description
Job Title: Machine Setup Technician
Location: 3330 W Town Point Dr Kennesaw GA USA 30144
Shift: Monday Thursday: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM Friday: 5:00 AM 1:30 PM
Mandatory Weekend: Last Saturday of every month
Criminal Background Check and Drug Test are Required
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow daily schedules closely to ensure efficient operation of production lines.
- Set up lines with required machinery raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Plan setup schedules to minimize downtime between order packaging.
- Prepare machine parts raw materials and packaging materials in advance for seamless operations.
- Conduct quick and efficient setup to reduce nonvalueadded time.
- Support Assembler/Fillers with ongoing packaging requests for long runs.
- Clean and store setup parts daily following 5S standards.
- Maintain tank cleanliness (interior and exterior) and periodically refresh its contents for effectiveness.
- Operate a forklift to move set up and store bulk material as needed.
- Keep the designated setup area in Maintenance organized and clean.
- Follow Health Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures at all times.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of directly applicable experience.
- Ability to effectively read write and communicate in English.
- Capability to accurately interpret and follow operational manuals company procedures and guidelines.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics percentages fractions and decimals to set equipment flow rates and volume specifications.
- Ability to use hand and power tools (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Mechanical skills and abilities required for setup maintenance and parts cleaning tasks.
- May be required to obtain and retain a forklift operators certificate.
- Must be able to use and wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) with or without reasonable accommodation.
