Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a IT/OT Operations Engineer to join our team!
Requirements:
- Ideally 12 years of experience in an IT or OT automation environment.
- MBO or HBO education preferably with a focus in IT.
- Proficiency in business English both written and spoken.
OT Knowledge preference:
- Basic understanding of OT concepts and protocols (e.g. Modbus OPC DA/UA industrial networks).
- Familiarity with the concepts and functions of Process Control Systems such as SCADA and DCS.
IT Knowledge preference:
- Basic knowledge of Windows system administration.
- General understanding of infrastructure including application servers and databases.
- Familiarity with system integration and integration principles using REST APIs as well as protocols like MQTT and AMQP.
- Understanding of data concepts and structures such as ISA88 and JSON.
- Basic programming skills in languages like Node.js Python or Java with a strong desire to develop further.
- Fundamental networking knowledge.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and managed services particularly with Amazon AWS.
- Preferably experienced in scripting for IT infrastructure deployment and containerization.
- Basic understanding of data analytics.
- Knowledge of ITIL Agile and Scrum methodologies at a conceptual level.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy configure and maintain industrial connectivity solutions like Matrikon and Kepware to ensure seamless and reliable integration.
- Streamline and automate the installation and configuration processes for these products ensuring consistency and efficiency across deployments.
- Serve as an Edge consultant taking full ownership of the services performance including driving its adoption ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to its overall success.
- Continuously explore and implement innovative solutions to enhance edge technology focusing on operational efficiency and reliability
