Quality Assurance Lead
JOB DETAILS
Base Pay: $22.00 $30.00 per hour
2nd Shift: 3:45 pm 12:15 am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Lead Technician to ensure that nonconforming products do not progress through the production process or reach customers. In this role you will be the primary contact for tactical qualityrelated issues and procedures. You will conduct routine quality inspections of raw materials and finished goods throughout production to ensure consistency with established product quality specifications. These inspections include inprocess and final inspections as well as performing excursion investigations using Quick ProblemSolving and Root Cause Analysis methods to support the manufacturing process and guarantee the delivery of highquality materials.
- Drive quality at the source by equipping work areas with necessary quality tools.
- Outline criticaltoquality process steps and understand the capabilities controls and required equipment and tools to perform job functions effectively.
- Support supervisors and operations with line decisions.
- Conduct a variety of tests to determine quality within established performance parameters notifying operators or supervisors for quick correction.
- Audit the quality of incoming materials workinprogress materials and finished products in accordance with quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with previous and following shifts Quality Assurance Technicians regarding product quality issues and the status of work in progress.
- Lead or participate in teams with members and vendors to resolve quality problems investigate concerns collect necessary data and address complaints using the established Cornerstone Building Brands Quality ProblemSolving methodology.
- Monitor internal metrics driving initiatives and projects to improve quality as a competitive advantage.
- Create plant visual quality standards and documentation.
- Provide feedback to customer service and plant staff regarding testing results and root causes.
- Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency with basic PC skills.
- Provide training to Production Associates regarding product quality.
- Assist in developing and maintaining of quality records and retention.
Qualifications :
- Education: High School Graduate/GED
- 2 years for quality related experience
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Problemsolving analyzing data and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Proficient in using measuring equipment and quality control equipment
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures and manufacturing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proven ability to maintain quality control documentation and records
- Ability to operate computer and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Email PowerPoint. Excel and Word.
