Job Description

Client: South Carolina Department of Health & Human Services
Location: Hybrid (4 days onsite) Columbia SC
Start Date: 08/26/2025
Duration: 1 year
Visa Requirement: Minimum 6 months valid work authorization
Interview: Online
Note: Candidate must be a current SC resident

Project Overview:
This role supports the modernization of South Carolinas Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) aligning with national innovation in Medicaid operations and transitioning from fee-for-service to outcome-based programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct QA testing and develop test plans.

  • Perform traceability from test cases to requirements.

  • Design and execute regression and UI testing.

  • Perform negative/usability testing and automated scripts.

  • Participate in defect triage and status reporting.

  • Create documentation and follow QA governance.

Required:

  • Bachelors degree (technical/business/healthcare).

  • 5 years of test case/scenario development.

  • 3 years of Medicaid/healthcare operations experience.

  • Experience in defect management and formal testing tools.

Preferred:

  • 5 years large enterprise system experience.

  • 3 years with tools like Azure DevOps JIRA Confluence.

  • Agile and Waterfall methodology experience.
