Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join our team in Addison TX. This role requires technical expertise in implementing automation solutions using PLC HMI SCADA and DCS/Delta V platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control system design programming and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative automation solutions and design standards independently or as a team lead.
- Conceptualize detail and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
- Develop control system architecture select hardware components and create schematic diagrams and system documentation.
- Program PLCs DCS/DeltaV systems and develop HMI/SCADA visualizations.
- Design and implement databases for data archiving and historical data display.
- Commission and qualify control systems at client sites.
- Design and implement industrial networking solutions using protocols such as Ethernet/IP Profinet and Modbus.
- Manage projects including developing project execution plans scheduling budgeting and resource management.
- Provide leadership to engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain customer relationships secure repeat business and support sales efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/Control Engineering Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in controls engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in Emerson DeltaV platform with 23 years of recent experience.
- Expertise in PLC programming including PLC5 to ControlLogix conversions.
- Strong knowledge of PLC hardware/software platforms such as Rockwell Automation Siemens and Modicon.
- Experienced in HMI/SCADA platforms like Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk Aveva System Platform Inductive Automation Ignition GE iFIX Siemens Winn CC and TI Portal.
- Familiarity with Batch/Recipes OEE MES and ERP systems.
- Project management experience with the ability to lead project teams.
- Clientfacing experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% (primarily local to the Dallas area).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AutoCAD for electrical schematics and control panel design.
- PMP certification.
- Semiconductor or Life Sciences industry background.
- Knowledge of electrical design standards power distribution systems under 480VAC and NEC references.
- Experience in building automation food and beverage water treatment and general manufacturing environments.

- Effective project management skills including scheduling budgeting and reporting.
