Responsibilities
- Assist patients/residents with personal care activities including bathing grooming oral hygiene dressing and toileting
- Provide mobility assistance with transfers repositioning and ambulation
- Take and record vital signs (temperature pulse respiration blood pressure)
- Measure and record intake and output weight and other health metrics
- Make beds and maintain clean comfortable patient rooms
- Answer call lights promptly and respond to patient needs
- Serve meals and provide feeding assistance when necessary
- Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff
- Collect specimens as directed by nursing staff
- Assist with rangeofmotion exercises and activities
- Transport patients/residents to therapy sessions activities or appointments
- Document care provided according to facility protocols
- Stock supplies and maintain equipment
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in care planning as appropriate
- Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times
Requirements
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification/license in good standing
- Completion of stateapproved nursing assistant training program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions
- TB test clearance and required immunizations
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
