Product Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Director to lead Chotots consumer facing Product organisation. This is a key critical role that would contribute greatly to Chotot mission and business success. In this role you will be responsible for defining the overall product strategy and champion the delivery of our Chotot ecosystem of marketplaces. You will also be responsible for defining the endtoend user experience for a seamless journey for both sellers buyers and partners on Chotot. 

You will lead the teams of product managers product design and user research product ops and analysis who are responsible for Chotot product development partnering closely with business marketing engineering and data leaders. The role is based in HCMc reporting to Chotots CTO. 

Responsibility

• Lead product strategy planning and delivery for Chotot marketplaces.
• Champion product management functional excellence across all Chotot business units.
• Align product priority with broader business objectives with clear measurable product goals.
• Continuously improve Product cadences in close collaboration with Engineering organisations. 
• Attract coach and retain empowered product managers to thrive with fun in a fast paced environment. 
• Inspire the team to innovate and amp up to delight users with great product experience.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentoring feedback and metrics.
• Develop strategic domain insights by combining internal data market and user research and industry best practices to deliver breakthrough opportunities.

• User focus product mindset great empathy and user obsession with trained muscle in making data inform decisions. 

Should have

• Strong drive and resourcefulness to persevere and overcome obstacles.
• Highly influential communication both verbal and written.
• Multi level stakeholders and functional team management.
• Strong Business Acumen financial fluency and a strong understanding of a profit and loss account.

Nice to have

• Analytical skills to extract insights from data via selfserve data analytical tools.
• Digital product startup experience in the region.
• Technology background in previous industry experience. 
• SEO experience and know how.
