About this opportunity
The General Manager of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimising the entire supply chain process within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures the efficient and costeffective management of supply chain operations including logistics sales and operations planning (S&OP) supplier relations capacity planning and procurement.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the companys overall business objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance supply chain performance.
- Oversee the selection and management of transportation providers manage warehouse operations and Implement logistics optimization techniques to reduce costs and improve service levels.
- Facilitate crossfunctional collaboration between sales marketing production and finance teams to align supply and demand plans.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers negotiate contracts and agreements monitor and evaluate supplier performance
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role youll have:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex supply chain operations and leading crossfunctional teams.
- Indepth understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of logistics procurement and capacity planning.
- Familiarity with S&OP processes and tools.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field.
- Masters degree or MBA is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are advantageous.
