You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team on a servicebased contract. In this role you will play a pivotal part in ensuring seamless IT operations by providing technical support troubleshooting system issues and optimizing our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with internal teams managing hardware software and network systems while implementing security measures and IT solutions that enhance efficiency and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide firstline IT support to employees diagnosing and resolving hardware software and network issues.
Respond promptly to IT service requests ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate teams when necessary.
System & Network Administration
Install configure and maintain computer systems servers and network devices.
Monitor network performance and ensure system security by applying necessary updates and patches.
Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize network infrastructure for maximum efficiency.
Software & Hardware Management
Install and update software applications while ensuring license compliance.
Maintain and upgrade IT hardware including laptops printers routers and servers.
Ensure proper documentation of IT assets and inventory management.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Implement and enforce IT security protocols to safeguard company data.
Conduct regular data backups and ensure disaster recovery measures are in place.
Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices to prevent security breaches.
IT Project Support & Process Improvement
Assist in IT projects including system upgrades migrations and new technology rollouts.
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance IT efficiency.
Collaborate with different departments to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.
User Training & Documentation
Develop and maintain IT documentation including troubleshooting guides and system configurations.
Provide training sessions to staff on IT best practices software usage and cybersecurity awareness.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
2 years of experience in IT support system administration or a similar role.
Certifications such as CompTIA A Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator CCNA or ITIL are a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Windows macOS and Linux operating systems.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN VPN firewalls DNS DHCP).
Experience with Active Directory Office 365 Google Workspace and cloud platforms.
Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools.
Soft Skills
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to IT support.
