We are seeking an enthusiastic and customerfocused Front Desk Agent to join our team in Mexico City Mexico. As the first point of contact for our guests you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional experiences and ensuring smooth operations at our hotels front desk.
- Greet and welcome guests providing a warm and professional first impression
- Perform efficient checkin and checkout procedures including room assignments and key card issuance
- Handle guest inquiries requests and complaints promptly and courteously
- Process payments accurately including cash credit cards and other forms of payment
- Upsell hotel services and amenities to maximize revenue and enhance guest experiences
- Maintain accurate guest records and reservations using the hotels property management system
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met and issues are resolved
- Provide information about hotel facilities local attractions and transportation options
- Assist with concierge services such as making restaurant reservations or arranging transportation
- Ensure the front desk area is clean organized and wellstocked with necessary supplies
- Adhere to all hotel policies procedures and safety guidelines
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance job skills and knowledge
Qualifications :
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a Guest Services role preferably in a hotel setting
- Associates or Bachelors degree in business management hospitality or related field; or equivalent of 3 years relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with Opera property management system is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor
- Detailoriented with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
- Problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Basic math skills for handling financial transactions and reconciling accounts
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and local area attractions is beneficial
