Job Description
Our client a multinational company that designs manufactures and sells networking equipment is seeking a Data Center Technician/ (Rack & Stack) who meets the below requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of the Lab (Data Center).
- Perform and work with infrastructurerelated components such as running network cables and installing servers in equipment racks (rack stack and cabling).
- Perform basic configuration on switches PDU and other devices under the direction of system engineers.
- Triage and troubleshooting chassis issues.
- Maintaining and auditing lab assets and routine inventory control.
- Perform various data center support services such as installing/removing PCIe cards motherboards swap and changing various server processors.
- Shipping & receiving devices/ lab equipment and managing inventory including scanning and updating inventory on regular basis.
- Lifting 1U and 2U rackmounted servers up to 50 pounds (familiar with general data center safety procedures).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or Degree course
- Physical Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience of patching the cables
- Experience of installing Switches preferably Cisco
- Physical Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attendance and work ethic required.
Please note that this is an onsite position in Fulton MD.
