Job Title: Senior Accountant / CPA (Real Estate Experience Required)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / CPA with a strong background in real estate accounting to join our team. This role requires a detailoriented and analytical professional who can manage financial reporting tax compliance and real estate transactions while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements general ledgers and reports for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee real estate accounting functions including property revenue expenses depreciation and cost allocation.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts bank statements and intercompany transactions.
Manage tax planning and compliance including filing corporate partnership and real estate tax returns.
Handle budgeting and forecasting for real estate investments and property management.
Work closely with property managers real estate investors and stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Assist in audits ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Optimize financial processes and implement best accounting practices for real estate transactions.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards affecting real estate businesses.
Requirements:
CPA designation is required.
5 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on real estate.
Proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g. Yardi MRI QuickBooks or similar).
Indepth knowledge of GAAP real estate taxation and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
