As our Service Technician key roles and responsibilities will include:
Installs inspects repairs services and upgrades equipment according to instructions.
Perform scheduled maintenance on customer installations to ensure that equipment continues to perform reliably.
Maintains accurate service records so that the performance of equipment can be monitored.
Acts as the day to day interface with customers reports faults and findings make recommendations.
Generates sales leads and operative quoting to the company through daily work and interaction with the customer engages actively with the client.
Ensure accurate and timely administration of relevant documentation such as service or inspection reports timesheets and orders.
Communicates information on equipment problems or potential enhancements timeously to the relevant persons.
Compile and maintain safety files as required as per regulatory compliance and customer requirements.
Performs all prescribed safety procedures point of work risk assessment at every job and site.
Adhere to safety procedures both on the company and customer premises wherever work is conducted.
Maintain general housekeeping.
To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts Regulations and applicable company Policies/Procedures.
To ensure compliance with the IMS by supporting the maintenance of all Quality System procedures administration of the internal Audit programme corrective actions and customer feedback registers.
Report all hazards incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures.
Participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace.
Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority.

Qualification/Education:
Grade 12 (NQF level 4 or related trade qualification
Qualified artisan
Skills & Knowledge:
3 5 years work experience in similar environment
Read blueprints schematics and understand technical data
Use hand tools and trade type tools
Experience on habour cranes
Experience on Invertor Drives and PLCs
Must be able to work in confined spaces; elevated areas and at heights
Must be able to travel locally and outside SA for operational requirements
Proficiency with MS Office applications e.g. Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint
Thinks in terms of profit and loss
Anticipates and responds to the needs of customers
Takes responsibility and drives performance
Makes timely well informed effective decisions
Builds respect and cooperation and manages conflicts constructively
Models effective twoway communication including feedback
