Job Description
- Oversee the regular maintenance repair and upgrading of port infrastructure such as wharves terminals roads and utilities to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain an inventory of port infrastructure assets and manage their lifecycle ensuring timely replacements and upgrades to avoid service disruptions.
- Coordinate the integration and functioning of port infrastructure systems including security monitoring and communication networks to ensure seamless operations across all departments.
- Implement systems to monitor the performance of port infrastructure generate reports on usage condition and efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure that all infrastructure meets local national and international safety and regulatory standards conducting regular safety audits and addressing compliance issues.
- Lead or assist in infrastructure projects from planning through to execution including scheduling budgeting procurement and resource management.
- Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of port equipment (e.g. cranes conveyors and cargo handling systems) ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Assist in the implementation of environmental management plans promoting sustainable practices in infrastructure design operation and waste management.
- Identify potential risks to infrastructure operations (e.g. natural disasters equipment failure) and develop contingency plans to mitigate impacts and ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders such as contractors port authorities logistics companies and government agencies to ensure effective infrastructure management and resolve technical issues.

- Diploma in Civil Engineering Construction Engineering Building or Facility Management or related fields
