We are looking for a talented curious and energetic Senior Software Engineer (mid level) who embraces solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Visa Software Engineer you will be an integral part of a crossfunctional development team inventing designing building and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of cuttingedge payment technology you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.

The Work itself:

• Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visas internal standards for scalability security and reusability
• Collaborate crossfunctionally to create design artifacts and develop bestinclass software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements value added service technology and new business flows in diverse agile squads
• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including enduser merchants b2b and business to government solutions
• Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services Transaction Platforms RealTime Payments and Buy Now Pay Later Technology

Essential Functions:

You will:

• Build and deploy modern services and web applications with quality reliability and scalability
• Work as a member of a crossfunctional agile team with a focus on payment security
• UI Development for internal and external users
• Define contracts between frontend and backend services
• Develop and utilize APIs
• Be involved throughout the entire development life cycle from requirements definition to product delivery
• Design develop and execute maintainable automated and manual test cases covering service integrations

Qualifications :

• 3 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD)
• Strong knowledge and ability to develop frontend using JavaScript HTML CSS React .
• Proficient in user interface design focusing on effective usercomputer interactions and optimizing industrial design for enhanced user experience
• Strong knowledge of Java programming and ability to develop backend services using Spring Boot framework.
• Deep Understanding of RESTful webservices and microservice architecture.
• The ability to develop and utilize APIs a set of routines protocols and tools for building software applications that specify how software components should interact and are used when programming graphical user interface (GUI) components.
• Proficiency in writing maintainable code using TDD/BDD paradigms. Good understanding of clean code principles SOLID KISS DRY Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with Container Orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)
• Experience with application development lifecycle CI/CD
• Nice to have: knowledge about Encryption/Decryption method and tools

Additional Information :

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
