A team member is leaving the team.

3. Please describe the project work and what do daytoday responsibilities look like:

We are working daily on shoring up a critical application called GoAnywhere to prepare for onboardingnew file transfer connections. A lot of team collaboration and mobbing/pairing. Agile ceremonies like sprint planning refinement daily huddles retros etc.

* Understand complex technical concepts and translate them into solutions that are understandable and engaging.

* Work directly with a product owner/delivery manager stakeholders other IS Teams and vendor partners to optimize existing solutions

* Be part of a dynamic crossfunctional team of talented individuals who continuously seek improvement through cloud solutions automation and more.

* Provide informal leadership. Exchange learnings with other software engineers.

4. What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing

We have hosted GoAnywhere in our PFG AWS account so theyd be working on IaC in AWS CDK utilizing python Github EC2 S3 CloudWatch think AWS fundamentals. Having actual software engineering background is a must.

Primarily working on GoAnywhere (managed file transfer) and Clearswift (AV scanning tool) which are both vendor products from Fortra what we are hosting in AWS.

8 Engineers primarily Infrastructure engineers. 4 in Home Office and 4 in PGS. There is a Product Manager and a Scrum master. We work in an agile fashion with 2 week sprints etc.

We work with many other teams at PFG network Technology Operations Center server team etc.

11. Is this role needing someone to sit onsite or work remote

Onsite Hybrid would be great but were open to remote as well.

Likely a 3 person panel type interview with Tech leader Product Manager and an engineer from the team.

There is a lot of learning on the team in the AWS / Github repository / pipeline space so a lot of mobbing on those things as we harden the GoAnywhere tool/application.

Responsibilities:

Able to work with guidance on software development/solutions.

With guidance conduct analysis and development elicit requirements write correct and clean coding automated testing debugging documentation quality assurance review implementation and maintenance.

Able to work with guidance on multiple layers of the solution if needed. Participates in technical design of features.

Qualifications:

Associates or bachelors degree (preference in a computer science technology engineering or mathrelated field or equivalent experience) and 46 years work experience or equivalent experience.

Proven experience as an IT professional.

Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus.

Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred.

Basic planning organizational problemsolving analytical decisionmaking and communication skills required.

Proficiency with database applications knowledge of mainframe distributed and/or web programming language.

Basic leadership skills preferred.

Excellent time management skills preferred.

Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow.

Ability to work on crossfunctional teams and collaborate with both It and nonIT partners.

Some travel may be required including overnight stays.

May be required to provide oncall support.
