Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customerfocused Porter to join our team. As a Porter you will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for our guests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
- Greet and assist guests upon arrival offering a warm welcome to our establishment
- Handle luggage and belongings with care ensuring proper storage and timely delivery to guest rooms
- Provide information about hotel facilities local attractions and transportation options in Nairobi
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
- Assist with special events or conferences by setting up equipment and materials
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications :
- Prior experience in customer service hospitality or a related field
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong communication abilities in both verbal and written English
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and carry heavy luggage safely
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings late evenings and weekends
- High standard of personal presentation and grooming
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Knowledge of Nairobi and its surrounding areas including popular attractions and transportation options
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties efficiently
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues
- Detailoriented approach to work with strong organizational skills
- Adaptability to handle diverse guest needs and unexpected situations
- Familiarity with local customs and culture is a plus
